Pipi

Pipi was our sweet little tabby cat. She came into our family in July 2010 and spent sixteen wonderful years filling our home with love, laughter, and quiet companionship. Even at just six pounds, she seemed to have endless energy. She loved to hop around the house, always curious, always playful, and somehow she never stopped feeling like a kitten. She was incredibly gentle and timid. Home was the only world she ever knew. She rarely stepped outside because she was easily frightened, and our family was everything to her. We were her safe place, and she gave us every bit of her love in return. What makes losing her even harder is that she never let us know she was leaving. Until her very last day, she was still eating well, drinking water, using her litter box, and quietly staying by our side. Although she was already sixteen years old, she still acted like a young cat. She seemed so healthy that we truly believed we would have much more time together. Then, on the morning of Sunday, July 6, she didn''t wake up. She was lying peacefully in her favorite little bed, just as she always did. There were no cries, no signs of pain, no struggle. She had simply slipped away in her sleep, leaving behind only her tiny, still body. I like to believe she chose to leave quietly because she didn''t want to wake us or make us worry. Pipi, if you can, come visit your brother and sister from time to time. Your little ashes will always stay here at home with us. They will never be moved, because this has always been your home, and it always will be. We miss you every single day. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge, our sweet Pipi.
